About Teri Ray
Many of my first memories revolve around family travel. I grew up in a typical Midwest middle-income household, so our family travel consisted of places we could drive to, like the Smoky Mountains or the beaches of Florida. Nothing fancy – instead beautiful, exciting memories of places that satisfied my need to experience different spaces. The excitement of waking up on that first day of vacation as a very young child. The joy of driving through the gates of Disney World. The wonder of the waves in Florida. The satisfaction of having a packed lunch roadside. My mother and father wanted me to collect experiences, not things. This is where my love for travel began.
Later, as a married mom in a two-income household, those precious memories led me to plan summer vacations for our family and extended family. Planning vacations for households full of teachers and school-aged kids, I knew the importance of making the most of those few short summer weeks. It was everything – what we looked forward to and dreamed about all year long, and what we spent our hard-earned money on. I took that responsibility very seriously and worked to plan the most satisfying trips, always taking into account each individual. I learned a lot about planning, budgeting and vacation choices during those years. That’s what led me to now.
My career as a travel consultant is decades in the making, and I believe I have the perfect background to help anyone (on any budget) experience traveling. What do I consider the most important trait I possess that makes me perfect for planning your next trip? Listening. I never cared about having a career in the travel industry to simply make money. It’s my love of and curiosity for travel that pushes me to ask the right questions and get to know you. My travel experiences should not be your travel experiences. Everyone is unique. That’s why I’ve spent so many hours training, to deliver the very best trip, backed by knowledge and credibility. Whatever you want to experience, I can help.
We had an absolutely amazing trip to Venice, and every part of it exceeded our expectations. The tours were incredibly well-organized and full of fascinating details we wouldn't have discovered on our own. The dinners were outstanding, with each restaurant offering delicious, authentic dishes in beautiful settings. The vineyard tours were a true highlight, giving us the chance to relax, sip incredible wine, and soak in the stunning countryside. Every detail, from transportation to timing, was perfectly coordinated, which made the whole experience feel seamless and stress-free from start to finish.
